    Sharon Hand-Burns : 25 years in the healthcare field in areas of physician practice operations, hospital operations, and health plans. She has worked with private and academic physicians and has extensive experience in practice start-ups and network development as well as contracting and payor relations. Ms. Burns is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of administrative support for medical practices, with considerable experience in billing, development of policies and procedures, and development of job descriptions. She has also assisted many physicians with the arrangements for or implementation of ancillary services.  Ms. Burns has been consulting with healthcare professionals in the Houston area for 13 years. She has expertise and experience in solo and small group practice “turn-key” practice start-ups, practice management, marketing, managed care contract negotiations, payor/network contract profitability analysis, product development and overall practice assessment. During her consulting career she has managed large physician organizations including developing networks and all policies and procedures for the operational aspect of those provider entities. Ms. Burns also has experience in assisting web designers in implementing healthcare provider sites with competitive advantages, including online patient registration and patient survey, email newsletters and interactive format for patients questions.


    Vicki Buxton : 25 years experience in healthcare and is nationally known and highly regarded for her expertise in managed care. She has negotiated and executed rate favorable contracts with all major payers. Ms. Buxton has managed all functions associated with managed care and fee for service practices in the areas of pricing, utilization review, claims, marketing and patient education. She also has significant expertise in the development and analysis of benefit plans, government contracting, occupation medicine and physician practice acquisition analysis. Ms. Buxton is also skilled in operations improvement and policies/procedure development and documentation. Ms. Buxton received her Bachelor’s degree from Colorado Women’s College (University of Denver) and did post baccalaureate work at the University of Houston. She has participated and held leadership positions in numerous professional organizations and is an accomplished presenter on every aspect of managed care.


    Ji Sohn : 12 years experience in healthcare. Ms. Sohn has managed physician practices and a skilled nursing / assisted living organization. Her expertise includes managed care contracting, fee schedule development and analysis, health plan credentialing and reimbursement accuracy and profitability. Ms. Sohn has implemented third party billing for providers including compliance with Medicare coding guidelines and HIPAA guidelines. She has experience in training staff with regard to compliance and practice management software. Ms. Sohn’s practice administration experience includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, benefit administrating. She has also served as a Human Relations representative for a 100 - employee organization providing employee orientations and maintaining excellent employee relations. Ms. Sohn has designed efficient methods for tracking and analyzing budgeting trends in multiple departments within an organization. She has also served on Quality Assurance and Safety committees to ensure upholding the highest quality of customer service as well as maintaining safe working environments. Ms. Sohn’s credentialing experience includes completion of initial applications as well as follow-up and re-credentialing for large groups.

   Lisa Dahm : 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  Prior to her graduation from law school, Ms. Dahm worked for healthcare information systems vendors, healthcare providers, her own consulting firm and another Big Five consulting firm.  She served as member of the National HIPAA Advisory Services Task Force and assisted one of the top accounting and consulting firms with their approach to providing HIPAA services to its healthcare clients.  She conducted numerous executive briefings for healthcare clients to assist them in raising awareness of HIPAA, and managed and participated in HIPAA Privacy and other healthcare Risk Assessments.  Ms. Dahm provided in-house counsel for a major Integrated Delivery System located in Houston, Texas where she helped draft the System’s Corporate Compliance Program, including required policies and procedures for credentialing activities, and all types of contracts. Ms Dahm is also highly experienced in creating Employee Manuals and policies and procedures. Ms. Dahm now practices health law in Houston with DDF & Associates, a HIPAA and healthcare compliance consulting firm.  Ms. Dahm also has extensive and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of state and federal fraud and abuse laws, including Stark and EMTALA.


  Charles Burns : 25 years experience in marketing and sales in many fields of endeavor. Expertise includes network development, project management, sales and management marketing training and Supervision of employee training. Majored in Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Burns experience includes over 30 years in sales and marketing in various industries including healthcare. Mr. Burns is skilled in areas of service/product development, project management, extensive allied professional and physician contract negotiations.
